“I'd never been to school. The class was for nine months but I was pregnant and could not come. I learnt a bit about alphabets, but my pregnancy was an obstacle. I learnt how to prepare oral rehydration salts treatment. I feel like I'm blind; I can't read or write.
“There's no class here and I want to earn more.
“If there's a good election and if there's peace in the country I hope there are good opportunities. “My husband does not have a job; he has not had a job for two years.
“He joined the military troops, but when the children were young they used to get sick and he left the job to help me care for them.
“It's too difficult to find work. There's corruption – if you do not know somebody you'll not be hired.
“I was in Iran living with my parents for three years ago. Ten years ago I moved back.
“There was fighting, that's why we escaped. The others were killed and out properties were burned. My grandfather and my uncle were killed by the Taliban. If the Taliban are not allowed to come back, if the international troops remain, I hope that we'll have a good future.
“I'm very concerned about the troops leaving Especially for the Hazara people because they are weak and they will not be able to fight. Of course, when the properties are looted and people are killed. Hazaras have been more oppressed.
“I hope my daughters will be educated and have more freedom. I hope they are not disallowed from advancing.
Freba
“I'd like to work. I'd like to be a doctor because doctors give medicine to people.”]
