Nasaji Baghrami IDP Camp- Kabul

Kartenow - Nasaji Bagramy, District 8- IDP Camp, Eastern Kabul is home to 360 families, 2500 people-  mainly from Helmand. Some families have livestock but breeding quails is popular. Eash quail is kept in a separate cage to prevent feather pecking. They feed quails a mixture of 7 types of seed. At 1 month old it will typically sell for 1500 AFS and at 6 months, 4k AFS. No water in the camp – it can be bought daily in 25 litre containers for 5 Afghanis brought in by tanker.
